Improved technology for those who want to get the most out of their equipment - the K2 Special Effects is a deep snow expert but can also hold its own on groomed slopes, hard snow and long traverses.

We're also unveiling an exciting new design masterpiece in the form of the Special Effects. The nose of the board features an 8mm contour from heel to toe, making it easier than ever to glide in deep snow while ensuring predictable turn initiation regardless of snow or terrain type. This contour helps to displace snow, reducing drag, allowing the Special Effect's nose to plow through the deepest powder with ease.

We take the strength of our tri-wood blend Bambooyah™ Core and wrap it with our ICG™ 10 Carbon Fiberglass - with ten carbon stringers running from nose to tail - for a solid, cushioned and stable ride. Our Volume Shift™ design means you can reduce the length of the board by 4-10 cm compared to your usual length without sacrificing floatation while increasing maneuverability.

Under the binding, the robust Sintered 4000 base is fast, durable and absorbs wax much better than extruded base materials. Last but not least, our Hybritech™ Sidewalls are the most durable sidewall construction on the market, meaning this powder hunter will be in your arsenal for years to come.

VOLUME SHIFT:
We’ve moved volume from the tips and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed it underfoot where it can be better controlled. This makes a wider, shorter design that maintains the same float and stability of a traditional board, but increases mobility and maneuverability. More slashing and better lines in the trees are now a reality.

3D CONTOUR NOSE:
8mm of convex 3D contour (spoon), gradually blended from the running surface into the nose of the board to float like hell and maintain a predictable feel on hardpack.

SINTERED 4000 BASE:
Our Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivaled durability.

BAMBOOYAH™ CORE:
Renewable and stronger than hell. Bamboo possesses higher tensile strength than steel and withstands compression better than concrete, and that’s why we offer these boards complete with a five-year warranty.

ICG™ 10 GLASS WITH CARBON:
Integrating Carbon Fiber stringers that run the length of the board into our fiberglass increases the snap of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity.
